Cranberry Rosemary Vinegar

I saw this online and I knew it would be a great gift for Sherrie, Bryan's mom.  It's super easy to put together and looks beautiful once it's all done!

Ingredients:
  • Fresh cranberries
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • 12oz white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar (5% acidity)
    • I used white wine
  • One bottle to infuse everything in
Directions:
  1. Trim one sprig of rosemary to the height of the bottle
  2. Remove all of the leaves from the stem
  3. Skewer the cranberries onto the rosemary stem
  4. Place in the skewered cranberries into the empty bottle
  5. Place one trimmed sprig of rosemary into the empty bottle
  6. Fill bottle with vinegar
  7. Cork and let infuse in cool dark place for at least 3 weeks

Cranberries skewered on a rosemary stem (Step 3)

Pre-Vinegar (Step 5)

Post-Vinegar (Step 6)

Final Product
After infusing for 3 days.
The color will continue to get darker the longer it infuses
In the gift, I included a recipe for a cranberry rosemary vinaigrette...  I'm also making myself some, so I'll let you know how it is in 3 weeks!
